As a Young Artist this summer with Ash Lawn Opera, Emma-Grace Dunbar performed the roles of Papagena in Die Zauberflote, Zaneeta in the Music Man and Nella in Gianni Schicchi. Most recently, Miss Dunbar has been selected to cover the role of Cybele in the world premiere production of The Face, a new chamber opera by Donald Crockett. Other roles include Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), Adina (Lelisir damore), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte) and Naiade (Ariadne auf Naxos). Miss Dunbar is a winner of the NATS-LA 2012 Gwendolyn Roberts Young Artist Auditions, the 2011 California Womens Chorus Scholarship Competition, a finalist in the 2011 Burbank Orchestra Young Artists Competition and a multiple year winner in the New Jersey NATS competition. She has also been active in the Once Upon an Opera childrens outreach program in Los Angeles, playing Bo Peep in performances of The Kid Who Cried Wolf. She received a Masters Degree in Vocal Arts and Opera from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and a Bachelors Degree in Music from Westminster Choir College.
