Danielle Marcelle Bond

Danielle Marcelle Bond is thrilled to be back with POP. Her previous roles with the company were Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor and Mother Goose in The Rake’s Progress. She has been heard frequently at Long Beach Opera, including Hannah After in Laura Kaminsky’s As One which the Gazettes called “extraordinary” with “intense singing and acting performances”, Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn Forever, Duchess in Stewart Copeland’s premiere of The Invention of Morel and more. She was hailed by the LA Times with a “Brava!” for her performance in Long Beach Opera’s production of John Adams’ Death of Klinghoffer. She was recently Hansel in Opera Las Vegas’s Hansel and Gretel and as the soloist for Claremont Symphony Orchestra’s Elgar/ Sea Pictures and the Beethoven Ninth Symphony. Other roles include Carmen, Paquette/ Candide,  Dido/ Dido & Aeneas, Hermia/ Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Siebel/ Faust, Olga/ Eugene Onegin, Cornelia/ Handel’s Giulio Cesare & many others. She has developed roles for composers and works frequently in contemporary opera in such productions as Kenneth Wells’ The Center Cannot Hold, Philip Glass' Hydrogen Jukebox, Stewart Copeland's Tell Tale Heart. She is a 2017 Grammy Award winner for Los Angeles Opera's recording of Ghosts of Versailles and also sang for the Grammy performance event. Ms. Bond is based in Los Angeles where she also performs voice over & sings on film, TV and video game scores.
