POP is back and getting "Bizet" again with Don Procopio, an Italian bel canto opera buffa in the style of Don Pasquale or L'elisir d'amore composed by Georges Bizet (of Carmen fame). POP shenanigans will be on full display in this 1910s setting, a perfect fit for Heritage Square.

Synopsis/Setting
1910 Highland Park, Los Angeles
Ostrich farmer Don Andronico, an old miser, wants to marry his niece Bettina to another miser, Don Procopio, because he is worried that a young man will spend all her money. Bettina is however in love with Odoardo. Assisted by her aunt Eusebia and brother Ernesto, she plans to thwart the old men. Procopio is terrified that Bettina appears to be a grasping spendthrift, and tries to get out of the marriage. When she insists that he do so, he pulls out of the wedding, leaving the door open for a happy ending for Bettina and Odoardo.
Orchestral Arrangement by Chris van Tuinen

MORE INFO
We learned a lot from our first production at Heritage Square in April! As fulfilling and exciting as those performances were, we know there are things we can improve to give you the very best POP experience. We've secured more parking and added a handicap parking lot. We'll use supertitles for this show and we are upping our game on amplification.
SEATING
There are two types of seating for this production. For all seating, you are welcome to bring your own food, drinks, wine, or beer. No hard alcohol please. Tables and pods should be from the same household or fully vaccinated.
Section 1 is a $150 ticket. That ticket comes with a cocktail table and four chairs. This section is closest to the stage. Each table is $150 and you may bring up to four people. You may also choose to only use one, two, or three seats at the table.
Section 2 is a $15 ticket and it good for one person. This section is behind Section 1. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR OR BLANKET for Section 2. You may sit in pods of up to four people in Section 2.
Due to the social distancing and the height of the stage, sight lines should be excellent for all seats.
PARKING
We've got it covered this time! Having only one show per night is going to alleviate a lot of the problems we encountered with Trouble in Tahiti. Additionally we've secured additional parking on site and will be hiring additional parking attendants. Finally, we will have a small parking lot right at the gates for those with ADA mobility needs.
