Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as a “great glory” as the title character in the world premiere of Juana, Meagan Martin has excelled in roles including Rosina in The Barber of Seville with POP and Astoria Music Festival and the title characters in Amadigi, Cendrillon, The Tragedy of Carmen, and Lucrezia. Last year she debuted with LA Opera Connects, Orange County Opera,
and Music Academy of the West and completed her graduate studies under the guidance of Vladimir Chernov and Peter Kazaras at UCLA, where her doctoral dissertation explored Jane
Austen’s works as source material for operatic adaptations. Her singing has taken her across the U.S. and to Europe, where she has worked closely with Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli, Teresa Berganza and Marilyn Horne.
