Andrea Church Durant

Andrea Church Durant is a Los Angeles–based soprano, répétiteur, and collaborative artist from Lindon, Utah. She currently serves as Staff Accompanist at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and also performs frequently as a singer and actress. As a multi-faceted musician, she contributes to a wide range of opera, musical theatre, sacred, chamber, experimental, and choral work. Andrea earned a Master of Music from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music from Utah Valley University. Andrea begins a residency this season as the inaugural Resident Collaborative Artist for Lyric Opera of Orange County. This year, she was invited to sing Queen of the Night with Pacific Symphony at Segerstrom Concert Hall. Last season, Andrea was selected as a Collaborative Artist Fellow at the St. Andrew’s New Brunswick Opera and sang Queen of the Night as a guest artist at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. Previously, Andrea was chosen as the Encrantz Professional Fellow to sing Queen of the Night at the Hawai’i Performing Arts Festival. Other full roles she has performed include Violetta in La Traviata, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mimi in La Boheme, Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica, Cherubin in Cherubin, and The Controller in Flight. Andrea served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria and continues to pursue her passion for learning German, Italian, French, and Russian. Her favorite things are cats, dogs, snakes, frogs, and her husband, Caleb!
