Jefferson Lanz

Jefferson’s credits include POP’s Zorro, La Traviata, Carmen at the Ford, Into the Woods, and audience favorites The Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore. Favorite roles include Thénardier in regional Les Misérables and Callahan in Off-Off-Broadway’s Legally Blonde. Other memorable “creeps” include Bratt (How to Succeed…), Jonas Fogg (Sweeney Todd), Willie Conklin (Ragtime), Bill Sykes (Oliver!), the Steward and Baker (Into the Woods), the Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors), and Vince Fontaine (Grease). His comic roles include Sam (Elf: The Musical), Harry (Company), and LeFou (Beauty and the Beast).

Jefferson remains POP’s only performer to have appeared twice at two different cemeteries under Josh Shaw’s direction. He is proudest of his role as Dad—encouraged by his daughter’s Great British Baking Show technical challenges and her push to start performing again—and as husband to his comforter, philosopher, and lifelong mate.
