Mackenzie Rogers
Soprano
Mackenzie Rogers is a New York City-based opera and musical theatre performer. She makes her role and company debut as Mrs. Lovett in Pacific Opera Project’s production of Sweeney Todd. Previous company credits include St. Petersburg Opera (FL), The Fireside Theatre (WI), Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre (UT), Portland Opera (OR), Westchester Broadway Theatre (NY), and Broadway Rose Theatre (OR). Earlier in 2026, Mackenzie portrayed Morticia Addams in The Addams Family at The Fireside Theatre, as well as appeared as a featured soloist in St. Petersburg Opera’s Bella Voce Gala. In 2025, she performed Petra in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music with St. Pete Opera, Countess Andrenyi in the play adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express with The Fireside Theatre, and in St. Pete Opera’s annual end-of-year revue, Holiday Sparkle. Other favorite performed roles include Sister Robert Anne (Nunsense), Lucy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), Martha (The Secret Garden), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), and Nancy (Albert Herring). Soloist appearances include Heitor Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5: Cantilena with the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra, UFOMT’s Tribute to Leonard Bernstein, and in multiple sacred works, including Vivaldi's Gloria, Purcell's Rejoice in the Lord Alway, Mozart's Missa Brevis in D major, and Bach's Jesu, meine Freude. Competition highlights include the NATS NW Chapter Musical Theatre Competition (2nd Place Winner), the Kurt Weill Foundation’s Lotte Lenya Competition (Semifinalist), and Opera Columbus’ Cooper-Bing Competition (Top-25). Mackenzie holds her Bachelor of Music from the University of Central Oklahoma, during which she received the Award for Excellence in Music from the College of Fine Arts and Design, and her Master of Music from the University of Kansas. Mackenzie is a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their cat.
