Caleb Yanez Glickman

Conductor

Caleb Yanez Glickman is a conductor and coach based in Los Angeles. He is the music director of the Harmony Project’s Hollywood Youth Orchestra, where he leads several ensembles in programming dedicated to cultivating community interest in classical music. He was the music director of POP’s production of The Pirates of Penzance. He is also the assistant conductor of Artes Vocales, a Pasadena-based adult choir.


He has recently worked on music staff with Opera Southwest, Opera in the Ozarks, Opera Saratoga, and Opera Modesto. In addition to Scalia-Ginsburg/Trial by Jury, Caleb will be conducting Die Fledermaus with POP later this season.

Caleb received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Vocal Performance. In addition to being an accomplished opera singer and pianist, Caleb is a violinist and flutist. He holds a Master’s in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and he was a member of the Artist Diploma program in Opera Coaching in 2021-22. 


Caleb is a zealous advocate of both new music and new approaches to bringing music to communities. He will be music director for the world premiereSherlock Holmes and the Case of the Fallen Giantwith Opera Modesto, as well as the music director of a first ever double bill of Jake Heggie’sAnother Sunriseand Handel’sJudas Maccabeuswith The Why Collective in New York.
