Diana Farrell

Soprano

Diana Farrell, acclaimed American lyric spinto soprano, is celebrated for her "golden voice." Recent highlights include starring in the titular role of Tosca, Magda in Menotti’s The Consul, and Verdi’s Lady Macbeth, earning praise for her "passionate intensity" and "beauty and sensitivity." In 2023, she debuts with Pacific Opera Project and the Pacific Symphony, reprises Tosca, and performs Krystyna Zywulska in Jake Heggie's Two Remain for the inaugural California Festival. Past roles include Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Micaëla (Carmen), and more, collaborating with companies like Opera Western Reserve, Nightingale Opera Theatre, and Pacific Lyric Association. Diana is currently a finalist in both the opera and art song categories for professional women in the 2023 American Prize. She holds an Artist Diploma from Cleveland Institute of Music and currently studies with Jon Friedric West. She's also a producer for Assyrian Arts Institute and Artistic Director for Lyric Opera of Orange County, named 2022 Emerging Arts Organization of the Year by Arts OC. In 2022 Diana was also named a Women Leader in Orange County Arts, and an OC Visionary by the LA Times.
