E. Scott Levin

Bass-Baritone, E. Scott Levin is elated to return to POP for his record 30th production. Scott, who has been described as having a “smooth, buttery voice,” “incredibly sharp timing,” and “a gifted comic actor,” has been making audiences laugh for over twenty years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and Graduate Certificate in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. Since 2002, Scott has sung in numerous productions with Union Avenue Opera in Saint Louis. He has also sung with many companies in the Los Angeles area including Opera Santa Barbara, Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, Opera Modesto and Long Beach Opera. In 2015, Scott made his Los Angeles Opera mainstage debut as Dr. Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi, starring Placido Domingo, and in May of 2019, he made his feature role debut as Hormigon in El Gato Montes, also starring Domingo. Having sung with POP since it’s inception, Scott has been featured previously as the Major General in Pirates of Penzance, KoKo in The Mikado, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola, Gianni Schicchi in Gianni Schicchi, Don Pomponio in La Gazzetta, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Schaunard in La Bohème, and Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro, among many others.
