Jamie Alilaw

Soprano

Jayme Alilaw is a celebrated performer throughout opera, musical theater, and even comedic improv, with a voice described as “lush and vibrant”. Jayme most recently originated the role of The Mother in the world premiere production of I Can’t Breathe with Marble City Opera. Committed to elevating the voices of Black creators, Jayme is currently touring La Femme Noire, a celebration of the contributions of African American women as composers, poets, and singers to Western classical music. As a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Jayme frequently sang for military ceremonies throughout the United States and Middle East in her 8 years of service. A California native, Jayme currently lives in Atlanta, GA as an empty nester to a daughter who is completing her freshman year of college.
