Praised for his strong “sense of theatricality,” Baritone Kenneth Stavert is a regular performer on stages throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. He is passionate about the drama of his productions and has been hailed as “the real thing, a classic Verdi baritone with resonance, flexibility, and vigor.” Whether it is on the operatic or concert stage, he brings the same boldness to each performance.
His 2023-24 season sees him returning to Vero Beach opera as Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni as well as returning to Pacific Opera Project to sing Sharpless in a revival production of their Japanese language translation of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Other notable performances include a concert performance as the title role in Sweeney Todd with HALO Opera, Ping in Gulfshore Opera’s production of Turandot and Marullo in HALO Opera’s production of Rigoletto.
Recent highlights include the title role in Verdi’s Macbeth with Heartbeat opera and the role of Don Carlo in Verdi’s Ernani with the Southern Illinois Music Festival. Kenneth also recently made his debut with the Southern Illinois Symphony as the Baritone Soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
