Sarah Z. Wang

Mezzo-Soprano

Sarah Z. Wang is a dynamic and versatile artist whose journey began with classical training in dance and piano, eventually leading her to a passion for opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Arts and Opera from the University of Southern California, where she was also a Graduate Certificate scholarship recipient under the mentorship of Elizabeth Hynes.


Sarah is a recipient of numerous awards, including the ESTIVO full scholarship, the Joan Sutherland Memorial Vocal Scholarship, and eight prizes as a finalist in the 2016 Australian Singing Competition. Her stage credits span opera and musical theatre, with standout roles in Le Nozze di Figaro, La Traviata, Little Women, Così fan tutte, and Madama Butterfly.


In addition to her operatic work, she has performed in musical theatre cabarets, contributed lyrics to films, and provided heartfelt performances through singing telegrams during the pandemic. In 2023, she joined The Verdi Chorus as a Fox Singer and is currently preparing for her role in the LA premiere of The Camp in March 2025.
